Wilson Allen Hannibal, Jr., age 62, of Gastonia passed away September 29, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 5, 1955 in New York to the late Wilson Hannibal, Sr. and Levada Edwards Hoke. Wilson was an active member of Bethlehem Church. He was a race car driver for the Classic Gear Jammers and was also a 5th degree black belt at Robert L. Kitchen Academy of Self Defense.
Wilson is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Beate Hannibal; daughter, Katharina Hannibal; sisters, Deborah A. Hoke of Kings Mountain and Darlene H. Coore and husband Colin of Charlotte; brother, Richard Eugene Hannibal of Gastonia; aunts, Mary Walton, Michelle Williams and Gail Madison-Burriss all of NY.; uncle, Bilal Shabazz of Las Vegas, NV.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Memorial service to celebrate Wilson's life will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Church South Campus with Rev. Dickie Spargo officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope 4 Gaston, P.O. Box 551387, Gastonia, NC 28055-1387.
