It is with an extremely heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of the most incredible husband, father, granddaddy, son, brother, uncle and friend, Billy Heath. Words cannot express the feelings to have a large piece of our heart taken so quickly.
To most of you; he was the funniest guy in the room and would bring a smile to any face without hesitation or maybe even without trying. If he cracked a joke on you, I can promise that he liked you(everyone will attest to that, especially the ones that were the repeated targets).
To the very close friends; he became more of a family member that only made our blood family grow by numbers. There weren’t any of you close friends that he didn’t consider family and he wouldn’t hesitate jumping to come help or at the very least, be there in company(mostly to crack jokes while they worked, which everyone loved). The kids of the close friends soon became more brothers and sisters to Kaitlyn, Will and Kara. You guys mean the world to us.
To the family; a truly one of a kind family member we were blessed with and it’s so sad to see him taken so soon. We would give anything to have one more day with him. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible but we are comforted by knowing that he is having the most insane time reuniting with his father Willie Heath Jr., his Grandmother and Grandfather Woodrow and Hazel Blackman, lifelong close friend Dana Smith and countless friends and family that he hasn’t seen in so long. I know he would not want us to be sad, but rather be happy that we got to enjoy his company, listen to the things he’s learned in life, listen to his many one liners, experience so many amazing things, and maybe even reminisce the hilarious stories from the good ole days....and trust me, there were many of those!
On behalf of the family, we are filled with so much joy from the kind words across every social media platform, phone calls and messages. This time is unimaginable, but with time, we know everything will get better. The support and love that everyone has sent our way is amazing and it just shows how much of an impact he had made on so many people.
We can’t comprehend what’s happened and we aren’t sure why it has happened so soon. We miss you immensely and we can’t wait to see you again. Thank you for doing everything to provide for us and showing us what a real husband and father is supposed to do. Thank you for being nothing short of amazing.
The best husband, father, granddaddy, son, brother, uncle and friend....we will see you soon.
