William "Bill" Stowe

William "Bill" Stowe, 83, of Belmont, passed away October 17, 2015 at Robin Johnson House in Dallas. Mr. Stowe was born on December 18, 1931 in Gaston County. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Naomie Cloninger and Rachel Shomo. He was a devoted family man and was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Annie Armstrong Stowe. Daughter, Billie Cagle and husband Bobby of Belmont. Sons, James Stowe and wife Barbara of Greer, SC and Bobby Stowe and wife Susan of Huntersville. 5 grandchildren, Cherish, Joshua, Brandon, Cody and Jacob and 3 great grandchildren, Danea, Chloe and Jalen. Very special friends, Norman and Jessica Murray and his precious pet cat, Creamer.

Services to celebrate Bill's life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Family Worship Center Church in Mt. Holly with Rev. Gerald Taylor and Rev. Larry Helms officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be held also at the church. Inurnment will be private.
