William Ted Harris

William Ted Harris, 69, of Gastonia passed away April 19, 2015 at Brookdale Union in Gastonia. Mr. Harris was born June 2, 1945 in Athens, Ga. to the late John E. and Lillian Smith Harris. Ted was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Harris and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a past member of Stowe Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Shannon Horton of Gastonia; brother, Ray Harris of Gastonia; Sisters, Lenora Webb of Gastonia and Levenia Flanders and husband Jim of Stanley; Grandson, Brandon Ballard; Fiance`, Amy Henderson; Grandchildren, Chet and Emily. Also, son in law, Doug Owensby and best of friends, Larry and Linda Ghorley.
Graveside services will be held at 3PM Wednesday, April 22 at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont with Military Honors with Rev. Mike Pittman officiating.
