Walter Jackson

Walter Jackson, 71, of Gastonia passed away June 16, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.  Walter was born in Newark, N.J. on November 17, 1946 to the late Andrew and Minnie Jackson.  In his spare time, Walter enjoyed cooking, fishing, and his beloved canine companion, Princess.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Pat Jackson; children, Michelle Jackson, Captoria Milller, Mikal Alexander; sisters, Delores Smith and Evelyn Jackson; brothers, Andrew Jackson Jr. and William Jackson; 7 grandchildren, Shaquana Stephens, Brea Evans, Sayyed Jackson, Makeba, S'Lannia, Aalaysha, and Makaylah; and 6 great grandchildren, Jayla Stephens, Malia Stephens, Jade Stephens, Messai Jackson, Camari Evans, and Azaria Evans.

Services to celebrate Walter's life will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 4 p.m. at The Gastonia Potter's House (Grace Place), 54 Burmil Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054 with Rev. Perry Huffsettler officiating.  A gathering of friends and family will follow after the service.
