Troy "Dale" Murphy

Troy "Dale" Murphy, Jr, 65, of Mt. Holly died November 3, 2015 at CaroMont Medical Center in Gastonia. Mr. Murphy was born in Gaston County on May 23, 1950 to Annie Sue Ewing Rick and the late Troy Dale Murphy, Sr. Dale was a graduate of Mt. Holly High School and was an avid fisherman. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. In addition to his mother, Dale is survived by his daughter Ashley Lynn Steele. Granddaughters, Chloe, Caleb and Carleigh. Sisters, Charlotte Faulkenberry, Peggy Jean Alford and a brother Ricky Dean Rick. The family will be receiving friends to celebrate his life from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday November 5th at Benson Funeral Services, 101 Oak Grove St., in Mt. Holly, Inurnment will be private.
