Tommy and Pauline Pannell

After 44 years of marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thomas "Tommy" Pannell, age 64, and Pauline Green Pannell, age 73, passed away within minutes of each other while holding hands on January 15, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  Tommy was born on February 8, 1956 to the late Jack and Betty Jean Brandon Pannell.  Pauline was born on October 28, 1947 to the late Thomas and Inez Jones Green.  They are also preceded in death by Tommy's brother and sister, Jerry Pannell and Kay Pannell Green and Pauline's brothers, Junior Green, Doug Green, and Daryl Green.  They were both longtime members of Emmanuel Church in Dallas where Pauline was a Sunday School Teacher and overall caretaker of the church and Tommy took care of the maintenance, was a head usher, former Trustee, and van driver.  In his spare time, Tommy enjoyed fishing and hunting while Pauline loved to crochet and cook, take care of her flowers, and take care of everybody else.

Survivors include their son, Gregory "Greg" Teague; Tommy's sisters, Jean Hastings and Becky Johnson; Pauline's brothers and sisters, Thomas Charles Green, Betty Pace, Evelyn Steen, and J.D. Green; four grandchildren, Shaina Brown and husband Elijah, Levi Teague, Chase Grant, and Christina Teague; and two great grandchildren, Joshua and Savannah Brown.

A Celebration of their lives will be held for Tommy and Pauline on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Church in Dallas with Rev. Sherman Branch and Rev. Scott Rudisell officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 a.m - 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
