Thomas "Tom" L. Pentecost

Thomas L. “Tom” Pentecost, 77, of Lincolnton, passed away April 30, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Pentecost was born February 9, 1939 in Vanderburg, Indiana to the late James and Clara Waite Pentecost. Tom was a US Marine serving during the Vietnam Era. He retired after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Mount Holly Masonic Lodge #544 AF&AM. Tom loved his family and was an avid hunter, fisherman and often enjoyed shooting his guns.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Fay. Children, Will Pentecost and wife Rhonda of Virginia, Wendell and Miles Pentecost of the home and Roger Pentecost and wife Melinda of Gastonia. Grandchildren, Nathan, Chrissy, Jason, Justin, Lane and Casey and also a number of great grandchildren. He also has a sister Emily Adams of Crossville, IL.

Graveside Services with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 4 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Holly with Rev. Jack Haynes officiating.
