Thomas Allen Kibler, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2026,
leaving behind a life marked by resilience, generosity, and quiet strength.

Born on February 24, 1951, in Front Royal, Virginia, to Allen Rudolph Kibler and June Astrid Smith, Tom spent his early years moving throughout the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas, including Martinsburg and Charlestown, West Virginia, as well as Winchester and Luray, Virginia. Upon graduating Luray High School in 1969, he answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Navy, an experience that helped shape his discipline and independence. He served on the battleship USS Coral Sea where he served three tours in Vietnam.

Following his military service, Tom built a life through hard work and determination, eventually becoming involved in the convenience store business in Charlotte, North Carolina. His last store acquisition was Rocky Point Drive Thru, a drive through liquor store in Tucson. He spent manyyears owning and operating stores, dedicating himself fully to his work and the people he served.

Tommy, as he was known to family and friends, was a man of energy and depth—both lively and reflective. He had a kind and generous spirit, always willing to help others in quiet and meaningful ways. A lifelong learner, he was largely self-educated and found joy in reading and growing in knowledge. His faith was an important part of his life, and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior many years ago. He leaves behind many memories of his love for life’s simple pleasures - especially music, photography, nice cars and a good serving of bacon!

Tommy was predeceased by his father, Allen Kibler; his mother, June Rickel, and his step-father,Charles Rickel. In recent years, Tom endured significant physical pain, which he carried with remarkable strength and without complaint. His perseverance was a testament to his character.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara; his two brothers, Rodney, (Jeanne), from Stanardsville, VA, and Chip, (Debbie), from Woodstock, Va; 18 great-nieces and great-nephews,a special uncle, Steve Sabo, from Burke, VA, stepson Randell Anderson (Victoria) and step-granddaughter, Elisa Anderson, of Laurens, SC, stepdaughter, Jennifer West (Adam) of Greeneville, SC, step-granddaughter Taryn Hodges (Noah) of Raleigh, NC as well as numerous cousins, who were part of the extended family he cherished. Also surviving are his much-loved,special fur babies, Babe and Thor.

Tom will be remembered for his steady presence, his generous heart, and the quiet way he lived out his faith and values. His life touched many, and he will be deeply missed.
