Thomas "Tommy" Crowell

Thomas "Tommy" Crowell, 68, of Indian Trail, NC passed away Dec. 10, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness.  Tommy was a native of Union County and graduated from Sun Valley High School.  He was an active Nascar fan and was the #1 fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr.  He was employed with 30 years of service at Charlotte Tractor and later drove tractor trailers for Winn Dixie and Food Lion before retiring.  Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Gwyn Crowell; Son, Todd Crowell and wife Sara of Raleigh, NC and his granddaughter, Camden.  Tommy is also survived by his pet Chihuahua which he rescued "Coal" and is preceded in death by his pet Dachshund Archie.  Cremation memorial services to celebrate Tommy's life will be held privately at a later date.
