Tammy June Cape, a loving mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on May 13, 2025, at the CaroMont Regional Medical Center. Born on July 8, 1963, in Gastonia, North Carolina, Tammy's life was marked by her deep compassion and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Tammy earned her Associate's Degree in Phlebotomy, showcasing her commitment to caring for others. Her profession reflected her nurturing nature, as she took great joy in helping people through her work. In addition to her professional achievements, Tammy was an avid reader, immersing herself in stories that delighted her heart and enriched her mind.
Surviving Tammy are her beloved daughters, Kayla Neal Sloan (Rashawn) and Jessica Colleen Cape, who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Alden Williams and Max Heffner, who brought her immense joy and pride. Tammy's sisters, Donna Foreman (Allen), Gloria Howell, Kathy Jo Wall, and Judy Beam (David), along with her aunts, Faye Dye and Jean Dawson will remember her warmth and kindness as they mourn her loss.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Virginia Farmer Dye, whose love and guidance shaped the remarkable woman she became. As we reflect on Tammy's life, we celebrate her dedication to family, her spirit of service, and the love she imparted to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us of the importance of love and compassion in our lives.
