Sylvia Beatty Johnson

Sylvia Beatty Johnson, 78, of Lincolnton passed away May 12, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. She was born on March 24, 1947 to the late Lee Beatty and Catherine Jones Beatty. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, Robert D. Johnson.  Sylvia, a devoted wife, mother, and cherished friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. She found her greatest joy in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren, treasuring every moment shared with those she loved. She also had a love for the beach, where the rolling waves and soothing ocean sounds brought her peace and filled her heart with joy.  Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her

Survivors include her husband of almost 59 years, Doug Johnson; sons, Scott C. Johnson (Christina) and Bryan D. Johnson; brother, Allen Beatty (Robin); seven grandchildren, Chris Johnson (Holly), Tyler Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Emily Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson, Abigal Johnson, and Brynlee Johnson; two great grandchildren, Cassie Johnson and Tillie Johnson; loving in-laws; nieces; nephews; and a host of long-time friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Sylvia will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral Services, Mt. Holly with Rev. Kevin Ford officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
