Sara Lee Robinson Byrum

Sara lee Robinson Byrum, 72, 0f Belmont, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Belmont. She found joy in life's simple blessings. She loved tending her flowers and garden, sewing, quilting, and creating beautiful things with her hands. Her home and heart were always open, and she had a special way of making people feel welcomed, accepted, and loved. Above all, Sara treasured her family. She cherished every birthday, holiday, family gathering, and ordinary days spend with those she loved.

Throughout her illness, she faced each challenge with remarkable courage, grace, and determination. Those who knew her were blessed by her kindness, faith, humor, strength, and generous spirit. She lived her life as one who loved Jesus deeply.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Anne and Wade Robinson, many dearly loved aunts and uncles, and her nephew John Rikard.

She is survived by her loving sister, Sandra Bingley (Roy), her brother, Ronnie Robinson (Betsy); her nieces, nephews, and their families; her devoted husband, David Byrum, her daughter, Annalee Hardin; her son, Wade "Wil" Byrum and his wife, Emily. Sara also leaves behind the family she lovingly chose and claimed as her own, including her bonus children, Amanda Bell and Marcellus Jeter (Kerri), along with many bonus grandchildren. She proudly chose the name "B-Maw" for herself and treasured each of them, sharing an especially close bond with Asher Pope, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She will also be remembered by the extended Robinson, Hardin, Byrum, Rikard, and Bingley families, as well as the many wonderful women whose friendships remained strong throughout the different seasons of her life.

Sara's legacy lives on in the flowers she planted, the quilts and keepsakes she created, the traditions she cherished, and the countless lives she touched with her love and compassion. She will be remembered not only for how hard she fought, but for how fully she lived, how deeply she loved, and how naturally she made others feel like family.

Those fortunate enough to know Sara were truly blessed. Her love, faith, Strength, and the family she helped build will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

A visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 pm and a celebration of life service will be at 2:00 pm on August 1, 2026, at Harvest Community Church, 826 West Charlotte Ave., Mount Holly, NC 28120
