Ruth "Sissy" Jackson

Ruth Moose “Sissy” Jackson, 61, of Belmont passed away expectantly July 6, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Mrs. Jackson was born in Mecklenburg County on July 23, 1954. She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley Gibson Robinette. She was a member of East Baptist Church in Belmont, the Ladies Auxiliary Member Post 144 American Legion and the Belmont Moose Lodge. She worked at Pharr Yarns for 20 years and also started a youth Baseball League for the Belmont youth. She enjoyed watching her grandson play football and granddaughter cheer. They were her pride and joy and loved them beyond words.

Survivors include her husband Paul Jackson; Father, Larry Robinette of Belmont;  Children, Ray Jackson and wife Melondy of Lowell and Christopher Jackson of Mooresville; Brothers, William Robinette of Belmont, Wayne Moose of Riverview, Fl and Kenny Moose and wife Doris of Clover, SC.; Grandchildren, Timothy and Aliyah Jackson and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Sissy will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Benson Funeral and Cremation Services.  The family will receive friends following the service.
