Ronald "Pete" Slaughter

Ronald "Pete" Slaughter, 73, of Mt. Holly, passed away December 26, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on October 18, 1949 to the late William Wallace Slaughter and Frances Young King.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Smith Slaughter.  Pete was a member of Mt. Holly Church of God.  He loved playing golf and softball.  He enjoyed traveling, camping, and going on cruises.

Survivors include his daughter, Shelly Jean Slaughter; sister, Irene Elizabeth Fishe and husband John; brother, William Todd Young; and grandson, Brandon Sean Slaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Holly Church of God, 208 Rankin Ave., Mt. Holly, NC 28120 with Rev. Dennis Bean officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Burial will immediatly follow service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Holly.
