Ronald "Pete" Perry Propst

Ronald "Pete" Perry Propst, 66, of Stanley, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born on May 11, 1952 in Mecklenburg County, the son of the late Grady Lewis Propst and Ella Mae Smith Propst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Heaffner. Pete enjoyed fishing on the lake and riding his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Willie Mae Propst; children, Ella Davis and husband Larry, Ronald "Perry" Propst II and wife Amy, and Christopher "Chris" James Propst and girlfriend Kristen; sisters, Vicky Poovey and husband Jerry and Joyce Cope and husband Robert; brothers, Donald "Don" Propst and Ricky Propst; grandchildren, Alisha Davis and Tyler Perry Propst; and soon to be great granddaughter, Riley Ann Ballew.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Rev. John Duncan officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow immediately after service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Holly.
