Robert "Bob" Thorn

Robert “Bob” Eugene Thorn, 64, of Stanley, passed away March 25, 2021. Bob was born on March 30, 1956 in Barberton, OH to Barbara West Thorn and to the late Norman Thorn. He was also preceded in death by his grandchildren, William and Charity. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Belmont Ward and had retired from being a long distance truck driver. He loved taking cruises with his wife and loved traveling the world as well as the United States. He loved growing tomatoes and also went on Mormon Missions in Washington, DC. In addition to his mother Bob is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Carol Lee Austin Thorn. Children, Joleen Sias (Joe), Eric Thorn and Sarah Bianco (Mike). Grandchildren Isabella, Conner, Cassie and his pet Chica. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday March 30 at Evergreen Cemetery “A Quiet Place” in Belmont, NC with Bishop Richard Killian Officiating.
