Mr. Robert Ree Radford, 57, of Gastonia passed away on June 9, 2026 at Biltmore Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation following a period of declining health.
Robert was born on June 15, 1968, in Gaston County to the late Lawrence Robert and Brenda Drennan Radford. He was a 1987 graduate of North Gaston High School and later worked as a funeral assistant for various funeral homes in the Gaston County area. Robert was a caring and helpful person who assisted many families during their time of grief. Robert also spent many years driving trucks all over the country where he made many lasting friendships and memories. In his free time, he enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends and relaxing by the water fishing with those he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Jeanette and Ernest Radford, and Francis and JB Garris.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother Brian Radford and his sister Angela Radford (Anthony Hullender), nieces; Izzabella, Arya and Sophia Hullender and one nephew AJ Hullunder. Also surviving is his special cousin Teresa Ollis and his mother-in law Kathy Roles and many special friends that he held dear.
A Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Benson Funeral & Cremation Service on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116.
