Richard U. Helms

Richard U. Helms, 67, of Charlotte passed away January 28, 2022 at The Citadel Mooresville Nursing Home.  He was born on October 3, 1954 to the late Lester Helms and Annie Earnhart Helms.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Helms.  Richard enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and bowling.

Survivors include his children, Richard "Ricky" U. Helms, Jr., Mark Helms, and TImothy Helms; sister, Marsha Frazier; and brothers, Larry Helms, Eddie Helms, and Michael Helms.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Catawba Heights Baptist Church, 311 Belmont Mt Holly Rd, Belmont, NC 28012.
