Phyllis "Ann" Shumate, 76, of Lowell, died Oct. 21, 2013 at Caromont Medical Center in Gastonia. Ms. Shumate was born January 22, 1937 in Gaston County to the late Herbert Fite and Ruth Thomasson Fite and was a member of Stowe Memorial Baptist Church in Belmont. Survived by son Mark Shumate and a granddaughter, Morgan Dawson and also several cousins.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00PM Friday Oct. 25 at Gaston Memorial Park with Dr. Harold Fite and Rev. Allen Harris officiating.
