Phyllis Dorothy Chapman

Phyllis Haney Chapman, 83, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away Nov. 15, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Ms. Chapman was born in Marshville, NC on Nov. 20, 1932 to the late William Haney and Susie Plummer Haney. She was also preceded in death by her husband Henry C. Chapman, a son, Gary D. Blakely and two sisters, Lottie Haney and Joyce Trewyn. She was a homemaker and a restaurant worker. Survivors include her Children, Beth Holtsclaw and husband Al of Denver, NC, Rick Blakely and wife Angie of Salisbury, NC and Robin Stanley and husband Gary of Mt. Airy, NC. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Brother, William "Bill" C. Haney, JR. and wife Merle of Mint Hill, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services to Celebrate Ms. Chapman’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday Nov. 19 at Liberty Baptist , 3000 Sam Wilson Rd. in Charlotte with Rev. Gary Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd. in Mint Hill, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
