Paul Jenkins

Paul "Dean" Jenkins, 81, of Mt. Holly, passed away September 29, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  He was born on June 15, 1940 to the late Paul and Helen Withers Jenkins.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Barry Jenkins.  Dean was a very active member of Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Holly serving as a deacon for 61 years, many church missions including Haiti, Honduras, and many other places in the U.S.  He was an active person throughout his life; a bee keeper, enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and carpentry.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Evelyn Ballard Jenkins; daughters, Deborah "Lynn" Stepp and Paula "DeAnn" Barrett and husband Bill; grandchildren, Eric, Garrett, Travis, Lauren, and John; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jaxon, and Olliana; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 at Grace Baptist Church, 300 Westland Farm Rd, Mt. Holly, NC 28120 with Rev. Brian Horrell and Rev. Jonathan Chaney officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
