Patricia Ann Abee

March 29, 2022 — March 29, 2022

Patricia Ann Campbell Abee, 77, of Monroe passed away on March 28, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on August 12, 1944 to the late George and Marjorie Campbell.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Abee; son, Robert Lamar; and brothers, Robert Campbell and Gary Campbell.

Patricia was compassionate about God and her family.  Her caring, thoughtful, and forgiving heart was unmatched.  She was the most unselfish person, always placing other people’s needs before her own.  Many of her days were spent tending to the sick and hurting in our family.  Patricia served as a Pastor’s Wife and willingly became a mother figure to many in the church.  She fervently served by her husband’s side as they both followed their calling in Christ.  Patricia was commonly known as Mom, Momma, Mawmaw, and Aunt Pat.  She truly loved her family and her extended family.  From the time she was a little girl until she took her last breath, she could always be found with a smile full of joy.  She was beautiful, inside and out.  She loved to sing and worship her savior and constantly urged others to seek their own salvation by accepting Jesus into their hearts.  Her son and daughter were the apple of her eye, along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She never knew a stranger and she loved to feed the hungry.  Her delicious Sunday dinners were one of many ways she showed her love.  She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and aunt.  She was a loyal, understanding, and precious friend to many.  She has now eagerly taken on the role of a guardian angel looking over all she cared for.  She will forever be missed and never forgotten, for her love was beyond reproach.  If she could say one last thing, it would be to follow in the footsteps of Jesus so we could rejoice with her in heaven for an eternity.

Survivors include her son, James Abee (Nancy); daughter, Diane Abee; brother, Ronald Campbell; sisters, Georgia Speights, Delene Campbell, and Karen Whitaker; 4 grandchildren, Shena Bryant, Robert Abee, Jason Abee, and Mark Bryant; and 12 great grandchildren.
