Norman A. Wright

August 23, 1925 — August 2, 2022

Norman A. Wright, 96, of Dallas passed away August 2, 2022 at Carolina Caring Hospice.  He was born on August 23, 1925 to the late Oliver and Elsie Wright.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Pope Wright; son, Gary Lee Wright; daughter, Angela Honeycutt; sister, Margorie Falls; and his beloved pet "Little Bit."  Norman is a retired U.S Air Force veteran serving 23 years.  He grew up attending St. Paul Luthern Church in High Shoals.  He was a member of the Gastonia VFW.

Survivors include his children, Jerry Wayne Wright (Pam), Norma Jean Clerici (Jack), and Ronald Andrew Wright; eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Rev. Mark Costner officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow immediately at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
