Norma M. Benvenuti

Norma M. Benvenuti, 84, of Bessemer City, passed away July 26, 2016 at Peak Resource Nursing in Gastonia. Ms. Benvenuti was born in Santa Maria, R.S. in Brazil on July 6, 1932 to the late Jardelino Engler and Delores Santos Engler. Ms. Benvenuti was also preceded in death by her husband Joao Benvenuti. She attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gastonia and was a licensed cake decorator and enjoyed her yard work. She loved all her family but especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Simone Gaston and husband Steve of Bessemer City and John Benvenuti and wife Nancy of New Millford, CT. Seven grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Jenna, Craig, Conner, Christy, Jessica and three great grandchildren Alex, Brylee and Korbin.

Services to celebrate Ms. Benvenuti’s life will be held Saturday July 30 at 11:00 AM at the Serenity Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont with Reverends Bobby Gilley and Sam Barnett of South Gastonia Church of God officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Mausoleum Niche.
