Michael "Peanut" Ralph Wallen

Michael “Peanut” R. Wallen, 54, of Mt. Holly passed away April 6, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.  Peanut was born on January 30, 1964 in Kingsport, TN to Calvin Wayne Wallen and the late Helen Hyatt Wallen.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Wallen, Jr. and a sister, Desiree Wallen.  Peanut had a funny sense of humor and got along with people well.  He was a family man, a dedicated man of God who loved his church and his church family.  He was an active member or North Main Baptist Church in Mt. Holly.

Peanut is survived by his loving wife, Lori Wallen; father, Calvin Wallen; daughters, Jennifer Wallen and Ashley Wallen; an son, Anthony Wallen.

A memorial service to celebrate Peanut’s life will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at North Main Baptist Church, 1304 N Main St, Mt Holly with Pastors Larry Laughter and Mike Pittman officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

There will also be a memorial service in Kingsport, TN on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Grove Baptist Church, 744 Poplar Grove Rd, Kingsport, TN 37664 with Pastor Oscar Irvin officiating.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
