Michael "Mike" Vann Williams

Michael "Mike" Vann Williams, 65, passed away on May 13, 2022, at Novant Health Matthews.  He was born on July 9, 1956, in Monroe, NC, to the late Vann McDowd Williams and the late Clara Lucille Williams (Helms).

Michael was a lifelong resident of Union County, NC.  He was a dedicated father and grandfather.  He served many years with the Army National Guard and worked at Cooper Tools in Monroe until the plant closed.  Michael was a man of faith and would gladly tell anyone how he was ready to see Jesus one day.

He is survived by his daughters, Chrishana Sabrina Tarlton (Brent) of Monroe, NC, and Samantha Jo Williams of Indian Trail, NC; his grandchildren, Nathanael, Brycen, Alexandria, Caleb, and Grant; his sister, Teresa Carnes (Michael) of Apex, NC, along with his two nephews, Brandon and Christopher Carnes, and many other relatives.  He was preceded in death by both his parents, Vann and Clara Williams and his brother, Russell Williams.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 5417 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110 on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.  The family will welcome visitation on the same date at the church from 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NC Stroke Association at 2000 West First Street Ste 504, Winston Salem, NC 27104.
