Michael Albert Franklin

Michael Albert Franklin, 53, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC, on April 11, 1966, the son of Shelby Burleson Gaskins and the late Albert Franklin. Michael enjoyed visiting the mountains, fishing, hanging out and drinking with friends, playing pool, painting, and watching Family Feud.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Tammy Tarleton Franklin; stepfather, Joe Gaskins; children, Amanda Benfield and her boyfriend, Michael Weekley, Steven Benfield, Jr and wife Chalina, Brittney Kuss and husband, Chris, and Brandon Franklin; grandchildren, Kiarra, Cassidy, Alexis, Zack, Makayla, Katelena, Gabriel, Aurora, Falcon, Brandy, and Emma.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, 3:00 P.M., at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, with Rev. Donnie Stowe officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M., prior to the service.
