Mary Norris

Mary Susanna Norris, age 74, passed away Sunday August 1, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Norris was born in Marianna, Pa. on July 17, 1947 to the late Adolph and Verna Kushinsky. Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Norris, son Joseph "Joe" Norris and also 4 brothers and a sister. She was 1 of 9 children. Her hobbies included watching CSI, Crime scene TV shows, and reading. She enjoyed being around her grandchildren and was known as "Nana" to them. She loved her pet dog Oreo, as well as her predeceased dog Walker. A longtime member at Liberty Baptist Church in Charlotte where she and her husband John were active with the church's bus ministries. Survivors include her children, Michael Norris and Jimmie Sanders; grandchildren, Audrey, Samantha, Emily, Jacob, and Chloe; great grandchildren, Aiden, Kaley, Jaxon, Liam, and Layton.

An open visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 3000 Sam Wilson Rd., Charlotte, NC. Service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Gary Berry officiating. Interment to be held privately.
