Mary Ellen Massengill Walker

Mary Ellen Massengill Walker, 85, of Mt. Holly passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  She was born on April 5, 1934 to the late John and Elsie Capps.  She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Roland Massengill Sr. and Lee Roy H. Walker; brother, Edward Zerkle Capps; sister, Betty Sue Shelford; and stepson, Lee Roy Walker III.  Mary loved to travel to the mountains.  She enjoyed her flowers and gardening, family dinners, animals, and she loved her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Roland Massengill Jr. and wife Sharon and John A. Massengill and wife Cathy J.; stepsons, William T. Walker and Johnny C. Walker; 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Samantha, Pamela "Misty", and Kaylie; and 9 great grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremiah, Jacob, Tristian, Cameron, Zoey, Aiden, Payton, and Maddox.

Funeral services and burial are being held privately for the family.
