Marvin Duaine Aldridge, born on November 28, 1945, in Robbinsville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in Gastonia, North Carolina, entering his eternal life with Jesus, our Lord and Savior, on January 28, 2026.

Marvin dedicated much of his career to the noble service of the Dallas, NC Police Department, proudly retiring after many years of commitment and dedication to his community. Known for his friendly demeanor and sense of justice, he left a lasting impact on the lives of those he served.

Marvin was a man who cherished the moments spent with family. He had a great love for fishing and often enjoyed watching Westerns, which became a wonderful way for him to unwind and reminisce about simpler times. His family will always remember how much he valued the bond they shared and how he made every gathering special with his warm presence.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Brenda Aldridge; his son, Jim Aldridge, and his wife, Beth; his granddaughter, Jena Hamrick, and her husband, Brandon; his grandson, Harold Duaine Padgett; and his brother, Gary Aldridge.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Marie Aldridge; his daughter, Lorri Padgett; and his brothers, Nolen Aldridge and James Aldridge, as well as his sister, Sheila Aldridge.

The legacy of Marvin Duaine Aldridge will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life, marked by service, love, and family, will be celebrated through the memories he created and the lives he touched.
