Margaret Elaine Lawrence

Margaret Elaine Lawrence, 80, passed away, Wednesday August 13, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Gaston County, NC on July 24, 1946, to the late Masuby Elsie and Margaret Elizabeth Stubbs Hyleman.

Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid reader and a retired Postal Worker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Robert Lawrence a brother Eddie Hyleman, Kenneth Hyleman, Bill Hyleman, Joann Hardee, Nadine Woods, Virginia Lytton, Lois Price and Nancy Boone.

Left to cherish her memory is her brother and Sister; Grover Hyleman, Karen Hyleman; Grandchildren John Lawrence, Kenneth Lawrence, Charity Wenzel and Kristie Lawrence; great grandchildren; Amber, Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Kaylee, Evelyn and Nicole and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be at 11:00 am on August 17, 2026, at New Hope Church of God, 4553 S. New Hope Rd. Gastonia, NC. A celebration of life service will follow at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Chris Seagle officiating.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City, NC
