Margaret Sue Tucker Hough, age 78, passed away on May 12, 2024, at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte. Born in Detroit, MI to the late Arthur Tucker and Irene McGuffey Tucker on March 4, 1946, Margaret's journey was one filled with passion and love.
A beloved legal secretary who dedicated 40 years of her life to her career, Margaret was not just defined by her career but by her vibrant interests and hobbies. She found solace in traveling the world, with a special fondness for the beach where she spent countless hours fishing at her beach home. The melodies of birds visiting her feeders brought her immense joy, while tending to the flower gardens surrounding her yard became a cherished pastime.
In the hearts of those who held a special place for Margaret in their lives, she leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. Preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Tucker and Jim Tucker; twin sister, Mary Upton; and brother-in-law, Harley Upton, Margaret will be remembered as a pillar of strength within her family.
Surviving Margaret is her husband of 36 years, Eric Hough; Son, Bryan Plummer and wife Emily; stepson, William Hough and wife Samantha; stepdaughter, Jennifer Hough Berry and husband David; brothers, Tim Tucker and wife Debbie and Ray Tucker and wife Janice. Additionally, six step-grandchildren - Willow, Zeke, Conner, Elizabeth, Jackson, and Abel - along with several nieces and nephews will continue to carry on Margaret's light through the memories they shared.
Margaret Sue Tucker Hough's life was a tapestry woven with love for family, dedication to work with gracefulness in every step she took. Her departure leaves an irreplaceable void but also serves as a reminder of the beauty that resided in every heartbeat she shared with those around her.
