Lisa Drake Braswell, a beloved mother and sister, passed away on February 12, 2026, at Caromont Regional Hospital, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories and the love of her family. Born on July 12, 1963, in Iredell County, North Carolina, Lisa was a radiant spirit whose joy for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Throughout her career, Lisa played a vital role at Forbo Movement Systems, where her dedication and commitment to her work were evident in everything she did. Yet, her true passions extended far beyond her professional life. Lisa loved nothing more than to immerse herself in the simple joys of life. She found solace in the pages of a good book, the sun on her face at the beach, and the laughter shared around swimming pools. Her playful spirit thrived through moments spent with her pet dogs, Furr Baby Drake, Joey, and Izzie, all of whom brought her immeasurable happiness.

Lisa's heart was big, filled with love for her family. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Frances Hannah Braswell (Anthony Jonesco). Her sisters, Teresa Carol Drake Hance (Paul) and Jodie Lee Drake, along with her brother, Junior Bradford, carry forth Lisa’s warmth and compassion. She was a treasured aunt to her nephews, Matthew, Donovan, Austin, and Jonathan "Pookie," each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Lisa was predeceased by her parents, Donald William and Carol Miller Drake, her husband Scott Braswell, her brother Donald Edward Drake, and her nephew Cody Allen Drake. While their absence is deeply felt, Lisa’s spirit remains alive in the hearts of those who shared her journey. The bond of love she fostered and the memories created with family and friends will be cherished forever.

A Memorial Gathering in honor of Lisa will be held on February 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM at Benson Funeral & Cremation, located at 101 Oak Grove St., Mt. Holly, NC 28120.

Though her time was brief, Lisa's impact was profound. With a heart that knew no bounds, she lived passionately and filled the lives of others with affection and joy. She will be forever remembered for her infectious laughter, boundless love, and the light she brought to the world.
