Linda Jane Jones

Linda Jane Helms Jones, 80, of Monroe passed away at her home, Sunday, June 18, 2017.  She was born in Union County, NC on September 13, 1936 to the late Wriston and Autie Helms.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Harold Jones; daughters, Janice Jones and Debbie Williams; brothers, Jimmy and Billy Helms, and Deuel Greene.

Linda was a very sweet, loving, Christian lady that loved her Lord and Savior most, her family and friends dearly, and her beloved pet dachshund, Gretchen.  She will be missed by all that she left behind.  She was previously a long time member first at Centerview Baptist Church and later at Solid Rock Baptist Church.  When she was able, she currently attended at Canaan Baptist Church.

Linda is survived by her son, Rodney Jones and wife Rebecca Lynn; Grandchildren, Alan Helms and wife Amy, Rodney Jones, Jr. and fiance' Sheree McGuirt, Carli Herring and husband Kyle; Great Grandchildren, Brittany Helms and fiance' Isaiah Helms, Katlynn Jones, Allie Jones, Aiden Jones, and Sadie Herring ; numerous nieces and nephews; Sisters in law, Lou Helms, Lorraine McClellan, and Francis Smith; Brother in law, Robert Jones and wife Lanelle.

A graveside service to celebrate Linda's life will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:00am at Lakeland Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Stroud officiating.
