Linda Kay Walker Cato, 68, of Lowell, NC returned to her heavenly home on January 12, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Cato was born September 12, 1948 to the late Marshall Walker and Annie Mae McClaine Walker. Linda was a member of Family Worship Center in Mt. Holly which she dearly loved her church family. She also loved her own family, the beach and also helped with the church Missionites. Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years John; four daughters, Denise Whiting and spouse James of Tega Cay, Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Cato of McAdenville, Carolyn Freeman and spouse Brett of Bostic, Nancy Cato of Lowell and a son John Cato of Bessemer City. Linda was also blessed with Jordan Cato, Taylor Hardin, Walker Lessane, Chasity Freeman, Brandon Freeman, Piper Cato, Patrick Whiting, Amber Freeman and Jacob Cato and also a great grandchild Kaylin Boyd. One Brother Stan Walker and two sisters Ellen Walker Edwards and Elaine Walker Lee. Funeral Services to celebrate Linda’s life will be at 2:00 PM Saturday January 14 at Family Life Center, 1013 W. Charlotte Ave., Mt. Holly with Pastors Kathy and Gerald Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, also at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 1420 East Seventh St, Charlotte, NC 28204.
