Lilly Jane Sykes Crowe

Lilly Jane Sykes Crowe, entered this world on March 18, 1943, to the late Floyd Marshall Sykes and Gertrude Alexander Sykes. With a kind spirit and a heart full of love, Lilly devoted her life to her family and was cherished by all who knew her. She passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord at the age of 82, on the morning of Thursday, May 8, 2025, leaving behind a rich legacy of affection and memories.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Lilly cherished her family deeply. She was a faithful Christian and a member of Liberty Baptist Church, 3000 Sam Wilson Road, Charlotte, NC.   She is survived by her children,  Edith Genine Rolen, Pamela Sue Sykes, Michael Allen Sykes, and Floyd Richard Sykes and Alisha Dawn Tuggle (preceded in death) Lilly's influence extended to her beloved sister, Patsy Jean Sykes, and her brother, Major Budley Lee Sykes. The warmth and guidance she provided will live on through her five grandchildren, Justin (Chakayla), Danielle (Jay), Desirea (Dakota), Destinee (Raheem), and Marshall; and nine great grandchildren, Jamie Jr., London, Emmanuel, Elijah, Emery, Eden, Melynni and her soon to be sibling, and Haiden, each carrying a piece of her generous spirit into the future.

Lilly's life was marked by the joy and strength she found in her family. A thread woven through the fabric of their lives, she will be remembered for her unwavering support and her ability to bring light into every room.

Preceding her in death are her parents, as well as her  sister, Mary Sue Sykes. Their memories, treasured in the hearts of those she left behind, will forever honor Lilly's legacy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 3000 Sam Wilson Road, Charlotte, NC 28214 officiated by Dr. Gary Berry.

Lilly Jane Crowe will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched with her kindness and love.
