Belmont

Kathy Cribb McCarn, 55, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, of Belmont, passed away on November 21, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born on October 19, 1968, in Gaston County and is survived by her mother Beverly Bryson, and was proceeded in death by her father, Roy Thomas Cribb, and stepfather, Robert Eugene Bryson.

Kathy was a strong woman of faith with a huge heart that loved without judgement. She was a friend to everyone and would always share a word of scripture to those that needed encouragement. Kathy loved her Lord and Savior.

Wayne A. McCarn Jr., Kathy's nurturing, loving, and devoted husband of 22 years, stood by her side throughout their incredible journey together. They shared countless treasured moments and built a strong bond that withstood the tests of time.

Family meant the world to Kathy and she was a loving mother to her children: Brandon Silvers, Brianne Silvers (Spencer Norris), Brandon McCarn (PJ Clark), and Jennifer McCarn. Her nurturing spirit guided them through life's highs and lows, always offering unwavering support and unconditional love.

Kathy cherished and created many special memories with her family which includes sister Donna Moore and husband Rick, and stepsister Lori Fields as well as nieces, Jenna and Madison and nephew, Rich; as well as great-nephews, Kayden and Pierce; and great-nieces Gabby and Mila.

Kathy's grandson Tyler held a special place in her heart, calling her "Kacky." They enjoyed spending time together including all the mischief fun she let him get away with.

Kathy was known for her happy and vibrant personality. She had a zest for life and found joy in every moment. One of her fondest memories was the many girls' trips she took with her sister and friends. Those trips were filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable experiences that created cherished memories they would all hold dear.

Music and dancing were passions that brought Kathy great delight. Among all the music legends, Elvis held a special place in her heart. She would often groove to his tunes with infectious energy and enthusiasm.

Kathy had a deep love for exploring the world around her. The beach held a special allure for her, with the Outer Banks being her favorite destination. The calming sounds of the waves crashing against the shore brought her immense peace and tranquility. She also enjoyed escaping to the mountains and cherished attending festivals. In addition to these adventuresome pursuits, Kathy enjoyed taking cruises and many other memorable trips with her loving husband Wayne.
