Karen Harris Wilson

Karen Wilson, 60, of Gastonia, NC, surrounded by family, transitioned peacefully on April 14, 2022.  She was born April 4, 1962, in Gastonia, NC to the late Cicero and Margaret Harris of Lowell, NC.

Karen is survived by three children, William Wilson of Gastonia, NC, Billy Wilson of Spartanburg, SC, and Linda Wilson of Gastonia, NC; three grandchildren, Cameron Wilson, Nathan Carter, and Landon Wilson; brother, Gary Harris and wife Tisha; sister, Sharon Harris; nieces, Angela Harris and Jessica Harris (Donald Morton); great nieces, Madison Harris, Kara Ayers, and Carly Ayers; friends, Benny Buchanan; and many other extended family and friends.

Karen was kind to everyone.  She loved her family and friends, but most of all her children and grandchildren.  Karen was a phenomenal caregiver to her disabled son, Dean for forty years.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Love Memorial Baptist Church, 311 E. Walnut Ave., Gastonia.  A service to celebrate the life of Karen, officiated by Rev. Mike Criswell, will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m.
