Junior Joseph "Joe" Jessup

Junior Joseph "Joe" Jessup, 84, of Gastonia, passed away on Dec. 27, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Mr. Jessup was born in Surry County, NC on April 15, 1930 to the late Charlie and Minnie Jessup. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Ann Jessup and also 2 sisters, Ollie and Cora Cain. He was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church and was a Hall of Fame Football Inductee at the NC School of the death in Morganton, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday January 2nd at Grace Baptist Church in Gastonia with Rev. Steve Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Betty J. Jessup. Son, Randy Jessup and Fiance` Kathy Benton.
