Joyce Ann Head

Joyce Ann Head, 75, of Gastonia, formerly of Mt. Holly, passed away November 12, 2015 at Peak Resources Gastonia. Mrs. Head was born in Kentucky on November 3, 1940 to the late Howell Troxell and Anna O`Reilly Troxell. Joyce enjoyed Native American Pow Wow's, camping and being outdoors. She was an avid movie lover, attending regularly with her husband Dean. She will be remembered mostly for her smiles and her loving hugs.

Survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Howard "Dean" Head. Children, James Lamar Kendall and wife Leann and Howell Joseph Kendall and a special daughter Terri Dean. 3 grand and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday Nov. 17 at Benson Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Dennis Petro officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held privately at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mt. Holly.
