Joyce Ann Bryant

Joyce Ann Freshour Bryant, Born July 23rd, 1948, was called home October 9th, 2022 to be with the Lord. She was surrounded by family as her battle with cancer came to an end.

Joyce’s greatest loves were her family, Walmart, and Elvis. She was compassionate, loving, and would always lend a helping hand to those around her. Now she will be a guardian angel to her family: daughter- Sandra Lee Meeler, daughter- Jennifer Meeler Bynum (Crystal), son-Todd Wayne Bryant, daughter- Levonne Bryant, and son- Roland Dean Bryant (Robin); Grandchildren, Brooklyn Meeler, Jonathan Bryant (Summer), Rachel Stamey, Terry Dean Bryant, Hope Bryant, and Josh Bryant. As well as her great-grandchildren, Charlee Karp, Alexandra Doss, Devyn Doss, Priscilla Bryant, Henry Bryant, Stella Bryant, and Kelsey Bryant; Sisters, Brenda Cox (Gettys) and Angela Sanders, plus numerous wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lee Bryant, her parents, Helen and Carl Freshour, and sister Pamela Grijalva. 

"A Limb has fallen from the family tree that says grieve not for me remember the Best Times, The Laughter, The Song, The Good Life I lived while I was strong." A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her heart never waivered from her love and faith. She cherished the prayers and support from those around her. Please continue to lift up prayers for the family at this time. "So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy” John 16:22. The comfort of those prayers wrap all of us in the knowing that Joyce is no longer suffering and is singing, dancing, and rejoicing in divine peace all while looking down and covering her family.

The family invites you to celebrate her life on Friday, October 14 at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, 101 Oak Grove St., Mt. Holly, NC 28120. Receiving of friends and family will begin at 10am. Service will begin at 11am followed by a graveside memorial located at Hillcrest Gardens, 1508 Charles Raper Jonas Hwy, Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
