Joseph "Joe" Travis Green, Sr.

Joseph "Joe" Travis Green Sr., age 52, of Mooresboro, passed away March 28, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.  Joe was born on June 13, 1965 in Jacksonville, Fl. to Wilbur and Kay Harris Green.  He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Ronald Green; brother, Ronnie Green; and grandparents, Bill and Louise Harris.  Joe was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Shelby.  He loved to listen to his gospel every Saturday night and also enjoyed watching Joel Osteen every Sunday morning.  He was the owner of Green Home Improvements.  He also loved all of his animals including dogs, goats, and pigs.

In addition to his parents, Wilbur and Kay Green, Joe is survived by his wife, Anita Green aka "Joe's wife"; daughters, Joy Green Keever and husband, Tony, and Amanda Wentz (C.J.); son, Joseph Travis Green II and wife, Melissa; sisters, Tracey Wright and Tina Woods and husband Matt; brother, Kevin Green and wife Kim; 13 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ricky Alley.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly.
