Jimmy Mitchell Kirby

Jimmy Mitchell Kirby, 51, of Belmont passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his residence.  He was born on March 4, 1969 to George F. Kirby and Patricia "Pat" Kennedy Hope.  Jimmy was a hard working man.  He loved being with his friends and family, enjoyed NASCAR races, golfing, and pitching baseball with his son.

Survivors include his father, George Kirby and wife P.J.; mother, Patricia "Pat" Kennedy Hope and husband Dub; son, Brent Kirby; brother, Darrell Franklin and wife Becky; sister, Julie Kemp and husband Greg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Centerview Baptist Church, 2300 Acme Rd., Belmont, NC, with Revs. Mark Costner and Todd Terry officiating.
