James "Boogar" Paul Severt, Jr.

James "Boogar" Paul Severt, Jr., 56, of Mt. Holly passed away February 10, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.  He was born on September 6, 1966 to the late James and Peggy Severt Sr.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Severt.  Boogar loved hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and racing.

Survivors include his sons, James Severt and wife Ashley, Jospeh Severt and wife Cayla, and Jacob Severt; brothers, Bobby Severt, Jeff Severt and Ricky Severt; sister, Sheila Kindley; grandchildren, Skylar, Gunnar, Isaiah, and Julian Severt; and cousin, Dawn Towler.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February, 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Family Worship, 709 Rankin Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120, with Pastor Kevin McClure officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
