Jack Byrd, Jr., 72, passed away at his residence in Oak Island, NC on September 14, 2026. Jack was born on November 19, 1953, in Buncombe County, NC to the late Jack Sr. and Margie Allison Byrd.
Jack was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and was a very tender-hearted person.
He loved to fish and enjoyed riding his motorcycles. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents a sister Sherry Byrd Harrington and a brother Ronnie Byrd.
He is survived by his children Stacie Lynn Byrd Mazlic, Jackie Byrd Lytle and Timothy Garland Byrd sister Peggy Byrd Reed, and he had 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren and his Fur Baby Scooter.
A Memorial Service for Jack will be 3:00 pm September 20, 2026, at Benson Funeral and Cremation Service.
