Herbert Adkins

On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, God accepted Dad's earthly retirement request to retire with full benefits. Benefit package includes lots of family and friend reunions, a pain free body, and being in the presence of God and all of His children that have tried to follow Him the best they could. He was born on June 16, 1930 to the late Posey and Gladys Adkins.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Mack and his sisters Geraldine and Phyllis Ann.  Dad attended Harvest Church.  He loved gardening, playing the guitar, and working. He served his country as a U.S. Army Veteran and was in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Alice Adkins; children, Mike, Mary, Chris, Herbie, Tony, and Sharon; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Shriner's Children's Hospital.
