Hazel Joyce Hunt

Hazel Vance Hunt, 67, of Mt. Holly, passed away March 6, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Hazel was born in Rutherford County on June 11, 1949 to the Flossie Blackwood Vance and the late Lloyd Lawson Vance. She is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Shirley Vance and Zelma “Duck” Vance and a granddaughter Ava Paige Parnell. Hazel loved the beach, feet in the sand and sun in her hair, an avid house cleaner, decorator and loved Baseball and avid Racing fan. Survivors include her children Ann Marie Parnell, Christopher Scott Parnell and Chad Marcus Parnell. Brother Arnold Lawson Vance and 4 sisters Dorothy Vance, Barbara Vance, Carolyn Graham and Lucy Holden. 6 Grandchildren, Haley Reeves, Hanna Early, Vanna Early, Justin Parnell, Austin Parnell and Drake Parnell. Services will be private by the family.
