Gene Brooks, 60, of Gastonia, passed away June 17, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Brooks was born May 21, 1954 in Lincoln County, NC. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. Survivors include his children, Gina Cook (Richard "Pee Wee"), Abby Hendricks (Lee) and Melvin Gene Brooks. Sisters, Patsy Amick, Wanda Corn and Debbie Webber. Grandchildren, Nate Cook, Nick Cook and JoeJoe Gathings and Sherry Brooks Quilliams, mother of Gina Cook and Gene Brooks. He is also preceded in death by sisters, Teresa Anderson, Suzie Brooks and brothers, Roy and Tony Brooks.
Funeral Services will be held privately by the family.
