Gary O'Neal Soles

Gary O’Neal Soles, 63, of Stanley, NC., passed away July 16, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center Gastonia.

He was born in Gaston County on January 10,1963, to the late Julius and Nettie Mae Dixon Soles.

Gary was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a deep love for fishing and collecting Guns.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Patty Cloninger.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years Donna Ballard Soles, his children Gary O’Neal Soles, Jr. (Shelby Renee), and daughter Ashley Nicole Soles (Christian Duran), a brother Julius Bobby Soles and grandchildren, Conner O’Neal Cherry, Autumn Faye Cherry, Jordyn Nicole Doster and Waylon Brian Duran.

A Celebration of life service will be 2:00 Tuesday July 21, 2026, at Benson Funeral & Cremation Service 101 Oak Grove St, Mount Holly, NC with Rev. Eddie McGinnis Officiating.
